Angelos Rooms are situated right on the beach on the northern side of the village of Agios Georgios in NW Corfu. They are just behind the vine roofed restaurant "The Golden Moon". The beach is extremely close and is reached by crossing a quiet road in front of the restaurant. It is about fifty metres/yards to the lovely white sands of the beach.

Angelos has quiet surroundings especially during the low season. There are no nightclubs or noisy tavernas in the vicinity and if Agios Georgios does have any nightlife, it is confined more to the busier central and southern side of the village a comfortable stroll away. Angelos is definitely for those people seeking a quiet relaxing holiday and is ideal for couples or individuals who appreciate the simple things in life.

The Accommodation is simple and clean consisting of 15 rooms all of which have sea views from their balconies. The accommodation is situated behind the Golden Moon restaurant area and thus a distance away from the road. Each room consists of a living-room/bedroom with two single beds, a balcony and a bathroom with shower and WC. There is cupboard space and drawers for storing clothes etc. There is no kitchen but a small fridge is provided. Breakfast at the restaurant is included in the daily tariff and is typically; bread, jam and marmalade, cheese, cake, orange juice and unlimited tea or coffee. The rooms are serviced (cleaning, sheets and towels replaced) regularly.

The photo to the right is one of the rooms with doors opening onto the balcony with a view of the sea. In addition to the glass doors and net curtain there are louvered metal shutters on the outside which can be closed.

Angelos is run by ex Greek Merchant Navy and ex New York restaurant owner - Angelos Bardis. Angelos is a charming and friendly host, offering traditional Greek hospitality with a personal touch. A warm welcome awaits you.

Angelos’ restaurant "The Golden Moon" is where guests are served their continental breakfast. The restaurant is family owned and meals are home made. Angelos also serves other meals throughout the day to guests and passing trade. The food is mainly Greek traditional with a wide variety of grills including fish and also vegetarian dishes. Specialities include fried sardines, pastitsio, moussaka, sofrito, stuffed tomatoes/peppers etc.....  What better way to cool down on a hot day, under the shade of the vine leaves with Angelos "Greek air-conditioning" i.e. the sea breeze, to enjoy a refreshing Greek salad and a drink

Agios Georgios is situated in northwest Corfu and consists of three separate villages which occupy the sandy beach along a remarkable and large horseshoe-shaped bay. Both arms of the bay have high cliffs on either side.

The photo on the right is the view of the horseshoe-shaped bay of Agios Georgios, looking due north. Angelos Apartments are situated at the north end of the bay where the beach runs out and the NW cliff takes over.

If you like swimming in a reasonably calm, sometimes "mirror like" sea, then Agios Georgios is perfect for you. The water is usually crystal clear. There is a diving school along the beach road and snorkelling around the rocky outcrops on the west of the beach is possible.
